Cubatur es la Agencia de Viajes de más experiencia en la actividad turística cubana, con más de 60 años de quehacer en el turismo nacional e internacional. Sus clientes son viajeros de los principales mercados emisores del mundo.

A lo largo de los años se ha consolidado en el objetivo de prestar servicios de agencia de viajes desarrollando sus actividades en la mediación entre los viajeros y aquellas personas jurídicas y naturales autorizadas a prestar servicios turísticos. Además, ofrece servicios de representación y asistencia a turoperadores y agencias de viajes extranjeras. 

Hoy la Agencia asiste a viajeros de los principales mercados emisores del mundo y representa a disímiles turoperadores, muchos de ellos con grandes volúmenes de clientes, lo que contribuye a su posicionamiento en el mercado nacional e internacional. 

Ofrece a sus clientes una amplia variedad de servicios hoteleros y extra hoteleros, que conforman una oferta llena de atractivos y novedades para los mismos. Entre ellos se encuentran la Representación y Asistencia en todo el país, todo tipo de circuitos turísticos o tours en Cuba, reservas de alojamiento en hoteles de diferentes categorías, boletos aéreos y una gran variedad de excursiones en sus diferentes destinos. 

A esta gran cartera de servicios se le añaden la Organización de Eventos y Congresos, Incentivos, Turismo Especializado, y atención a Cruceristas en los puertos y puntos de embarque y desembarque. Su amplia cartera de productos garantiza la calidad de la estancia de los visitantes en el Destino Cuba.

Historia

With the triumph of the Cuban Revolution in 1959, actions were undertaken in order to créate a new structure in the Cuban system of tourism.

The new strategy considered as a fundamental premise, that tourism would correspond to the cultural, historic and social values of Cuba. In this regard, a group of laws and resolutions were approved, and leading institutions were created such as, the National Administration of Public Beaches and Touristic Attractions ( ANPPAT)* and the National Institute of Tourist Industry (ACTI), incharged with the attention to the modest amount of international tourism arriving to Cuba, mainly compossed by workers coming from socialists countries. Also the Cuban Agency of Tourism for Workers and Farmers (ANTOC)* was subordinated to the Enterprise of National and International Excursions. This agency counted with 72 agencies spread all over the national territory.

The Cuban Agency for Tourism of Workers and Farmers (ACTOC)* and the Cuban Agency of International Tourism (ACTI)*, were declared disolved on April 1rst,1963, through the resolution 18 of March 25, 1963 and published on April 9th on the Gaceta Oficial de la Republica de Cuba, they both formed part of the Consolidated Enterprise for´´ National and International Tourism´´ which consequently changed its name to Enterprise of National and International Tourism (ETNI)*.

After dissolving these organizations, the social object of the Enterprise changes and the functions widened. The interest for International Tourism began to grow , modestly for that epoch in which they had four tour guides. This fact is used as a reference in the birth of today´s Travel Agency Cubatur S.A. Masters in the knowledge of the Cuban product like no one else, for contributing to its birth and development since the very beginning, Cubatur counts with high technology, highly qualified personnel and representations in all the tourist destinations of the Largest of the Antilles.

One of its main values is to count with highly qualified tour guides with a profesional training , capable of satisfying completly the needs demanded by this service in order to guarantee a thorough attention. They speak several languages and have a profesional knowledge about the information related to places of interest in Cuba.

En 1962 se produjo una reestructuración en la ACTOC y la ACTI pasando sus funciones a la de los Secretarios de Asuntos Sociales de la Central de Trabajadores de Cuba (CTC) en labor conjunta con el INIT. 

El 1ro de abril del año 1963 mediante la resolución 18 del 25 de marzo de 1963 y publicada el 9 de abril en la Gaceta Oficial de la República de Cuba se declararon disueltas la Agencia Cubana de Turismo Obrero y Campesino (ACTOC) y la Agencia Cubana de Turismo Internacional (ACTI), que formaban parte de la Empresa Consolidada “Turismo Nacional e Internacional”, que a partir de entonces pasa a llamarse Empresa de Turismo Nacional e Internacional (ETNI). 

Al disolverse estas organizaciones, cambia el objeto social de la empresa y se amplían sus funciones. El interés por el turismo internacional comienza a aumentar, aunque de forma muy modesta para la época, y ya se contaba con un número de cuatro guías de turismo. Entonces, se toma como referente en el surgimiento de lo que actualmente es la Agencia de Viajes Cubatur S.A.
